HID’s iCLASS SE® Clamshell Card 2k/2 are based on HID’s Secure Identity Object (SIO) data model to allow portability and higher levels of security. These Clamshell are thicker than an ISO sized card, but the product is more durable than others on the market due to its ultrasonically welded ABS shell. It is therefore more resistant to bending, cracking, and breaking. Each application area is protected by 64-bit diversified read/write keys. In addition to heightened security between card and reader in physical access control systems, they can work securely with HID’s DigitalPersona authentication solution that we support directly.
